When you can’t figure out what the yellow lines are for it gives the poor sap parked next to you, the one parked properly,  somewhere to rest their door whilst they squeeze into their vehicle without damaging the paint on either one.  Brilliant foresight on the part of the designers.

The bigger damage is when a door makes contact with another car, and then without closing at all, the person gets in their seat, thus pulling DOWN the door into the paint.

Sadly, most people don’t seem to know the meaning of that word and DGAF what happens to your vehicle.

Ford with the Fiesta and Focus and   Skoda with the Kodiaq have a different idea.

Interesting. I had no idea that such an invention existed. How long after the warranty ends will it stop working? It’ll probably be several hundred dollars to repair and nobody will bother...

It’s been an option of the Focus since 2011.
